Gets the job done but has some major inconvenience

Seems to work all right. Not convinced it uses enough water without using the deep fill option. The wash cycles are _long_. 1.5-2 hours long. Also the discharge hose is too short and on the wrong side. We had to install the machine sideways. LG why is the hose so short? Why did you glue it on so that a longer one cant be added later.

This LG HE washer is completely fake. When you run a normal wash the water level is so low the drum barely turns the clothes they come out exactly how they went in. The top half of the laundry is barely wet I had two technicians come and both refused to admit anything was wrong. The first one told me that a 57 lb load was too little and that I should double the laundry just so the machine will add more water. Seriously? What kind of design forces you to overload clothes just to get them clean? The second technician didnt even bother to test with clothes. He just ran the washer empty and said it was fine. Completely useless. This is cheating customers. The design is flawed and LG hides behind excuses instead of fixing it. Dont waste your money this washer does NOT wash

Please keep your review focused on the product No what product? I have nothing to review since youre awful delivery service never bothered to bring it to me. If youre considering purchasing from LG dont. Look up the reviews for LX Pantos the awful company that was previously part of LG that they use to deliver. If you never want to hear from them and never recieve your order theyre the people to call. Awful delivery service. Ordered a new washer/dryer from LG for a delivery on a Friday they said the delivery service would call on Thursday to set up a scheduled time. Thursday comes no call. Friday comes I get an email stating they would be delivered on the following Monday no other notice. I call them they said somebody would call me on Saturday or Monday morning to set up a delivery time. Fine whatever its only one weekend. Monday comes still no call. I reach out in the afternoon they assured me it would absolutely be delivered that day and somebody would reach out soon for more details on the time. I never get a call. Tuesday comes I get an email. Delivery now scheduled for a full week out on the following Tuesday. No other notice. They have never once called me never once tried to deliver never once seemingly tried to make an attempt at doing their jobs while I had to constantly plan to step away from mine for any one of their failed delivery slots.

Not great for a family of 4

We have had this machine for about 6 months. I have a load in now that said 70 minutes and is still going 2 hours later. It cannot handle one twin sized bed comforter without constantly draining and refilling the water. It struggles with 2 towels in a load with clothes. Would not recommend for a family of 4 or larger.

The normal cycle on my LGwt7005cw just enough water to cover the bottom of washer.Deep wash keeps adding water when it doesnt need any. No in between all these cycles are useless. Cant add water to normal cycle it goes to deep wash witch is to much water . What is the reason not being able to have lid open during cycle till you close lid.

Lint/hair stays in drum

Purchased 4/5/25 delivered 4/12/25 this date is important. First load of every day clothes cam out dirty with white pots. Thought maybe I left something in a pocket so I rewashed. Still dirty. Red flag. Then I washed towels used to dry dogs that shed. I shake them thoroughly before washing. After doing 5 loads of these dog towels there was no lint or hair in the discharge sock hanging in sink. Another red flag. I usually fill up one sock trap in 2 weeks. Where is all the hair going? Called LG customer service. Gal on phone asked for purchase date for warranty records. I said my washer was delivered 7 days after purchase and the warranty date clock should start on that day she said NO it starts on day of purchase. Thats wrong on all levels. Anyway she had me watch a video on emptying lint trap which isnt even on the washer I purchased which I gave her my model #. She said she would call me the following evening at 7pm after a meeting they would have that day. She would inquire where the lint is going for this machine. I rushed home from work no call.... still to date no call. Poor customer service. I opened the washer after not doing a load for a few days. I was shocked to find all the lint and hair/fur stuck to the sides and agitator of the machine. So this means my items are not clean after washing in the heavy load full tub setting. To say I am sickened by this is an understatement. My previous front load washer did a much better job. To think I wasted $800 for a machine that doesnt clean my clothes and towels makes me sick. I saved and saved $$ for a new machine and did my research before purchasing this. Dont make the same mistake I did. Stay away from this machine. I cant return this and dont know what to do. I guess I need to wipe out the drum after every wash.

We just wanted a basic washing machine without a lot of bells and whistles and this unit seemed to fit the bill. But after a month of trying to like this washer I give up. It spends a lot of time sensing the load LG calls it SmartDiagnosis but if this is what they call smart Id hate to see the dumb version but not much time actually washing. The cycle seems very long with a lot of soaking/thinking but not a lot of washing/agitating time. The water level is frequently so low that you cant see it. Ive seen the agitator LG TurboDrum Technology struggle to pull a lone sock down into the tub for 15 minutes or more - I feel like a spectator at a sporting event watching the underdog struggle to pull ahead saying You can do it you can do it but ultimately it cant. Theres nothing turbo about the agitator drum or wash speed unless youre a snail or turtle. Theres no way that its getting anything really clean. And while trying to conserve water is a worthy goal the rinse cycle uses such little water that any captured dirt - and most of the used detergent - ends up as smudges on your clothes. Thats a really bad look on darks. When your clothes come out of the washer looking dirtier than when they went in its a problem. Im only rating this washer a 1 star because 1 the dirt smudges seem to blend in well on your whites 2 because it has a glass lid which makes watching the entire frustrating experience a little bit easier and 3 because it looks nicer than Grandmas old wash board. So if you want to waste several hundred dollars I recommend just flushing it down the toilet. But if you want to waste money AND experience hours of disappointment and frustration and wear dirty clothes then this is the washer for you.

This washer has been awful since day one. Leaving white streaks on my clothes and if you have stains on your clothes good luck at trying to get them out with this washer. Now were having a problem with our clothes having an awful smell to them after we wash them. We do weekly tub cleans too. I am so disappointed with this washer. $1000 down the drain.

I had an LG washer for 18 years and only replaced it bc I needed a new dryer and it was older. This new washer has been a terrible experience. It leaks consistently. When I call customer service they always find an excuse for what Ive done wrong. I need new water hoses I need a new drain tube I put too much in it and the latest reason I used borax instead of straight tide the washer doesnt like that. So basically it leaks when you put clothes or soap in it but otherwise it doesnt leak if you run it empty. Customer service told to me to run it empty it should be fine.

Having spent a lot of time researching washers I would have loved to have this washer. Unfortunately LG was not prepared to complete the sale. I ordered the machine on the LG website with delivery promised for Jan 2. Having not heard anything from Lg or their installer by Jan 2 I started trying to trace my order. Unfortunately the order tracking website was not working and would not allow entry of an email ID. I next tried the telephone. After going through the normal Your call is very important but here are other ways to contact us BS the recording system reset to the beginning each time I entered my order number. I sent a note to the President via a link on the website but to this point I have had no response. I finally found a different customer service number. The recording was the same but I was able to enter my order# and eventually was able to talk to a representative. I was advised that my order had been cancelled apparently because the warehouse servicing my area didnt have the model in stock. Maybe someone could have let me know? I guess not. Im just back from a local appliance store who has promised to deliver my new and not LG washer on Jan 4. There are loads of complaints online about LGs customer service. I found the bad service extends to their direct sales website.

Product is very quiet during most operations. Occasionally will make unusual noise during draining. Cycles take considerable time but understandably. Water level is typically low but again understandably. Hoping the direct drive design will afford many years of clean clothes.

I had this unit for one year To the day and my smart washer did not know enough to shut off so it ran all night and water went all over the floor. It ruined all of my carpets. and I had to put a new subfloors. Not to mention the installation underneath the house so far it has cost me 5 to 6 times the cost of the washing machine and I have done all the work myself. None of the warranty people will fix it that works under LG and I cant get a different person to fix it because its an LG. There is not the slightest possibility that I would recommend This product. This is actually the worst purchase that I have ever made.

So far this is a rather expensive waste of space in our kitchen. Costco did not install as arranged and had to sort it on my own. Have had a load in machine now for past 5 hrs and it just does NOT provide enough spin to wring out the clothing. Have to tell roomie this needs to be returned ASAP. Myself dont like LG products bad experience with their cell phones and why do I need to download any BS on my phone to get any assistance from you? I cant wait to see this gone

Had it for about 3 months now. The automatic cycles work well. I thought the normal setting would not use enough water as some HE machines dont. This one is OK for most clothes. I do use the deep wash setting anyway for regular clothes washing and it does well. Nice and quiet too for a washing machine.

I Hate not having a PreSoak Cycle

I just purchased an LG top load washer model #7005 with agitator. I didnt do my homework and am really sorry I bought this machine. I love the capacity the quiet the spin to almost dry ability but I hate HATE that it does not have a Pre Soak cycle like my old Maytag. Many friends are asking how I like it and I have to tell them I would not buy any model which does not have a clearly defined SOAK cycle. I suppose I needed to spend more $$ but this model was perfect in every way so I just assumed it would also soak my clothes. I have tried everything and the only thing that works is to put in the soap Oxyclean then start the machine and set a timer to stop it and pull out the plug. I let it soak for however long I want usually an hour and then plug it back in and start all over with a Normal cycle. I always get sparks from the plug site when I plug it back in so that makes me nervous to do it this way and it is never a pleasant experience. It would have been so easy for LG to add a PRESOAK cycle

I bundled the LG top load washer and dryer together a week ago. Control panel is confusing. Using the washer dials is waste. It doesnt dispense enough water. The water senses the weight of clothes and dispenses water according. Normal load button hardly covers the top of the clothes. I find myself manually putting water in the tub before starting the wash cycle to provide more weight to the clothed to fool the water sense. As far as the clothes dryer the medium heat setting is ridiculous. For normal load the setting will take well over hour.

I am very disappointed in this washer. It will not spin unless there are sufficient clothes being washed to initiate the spin cycle.

RD clutch failed

I bought this machine 6/2022 in July of this year it initially started making a noise when spinning and same day stopped spinning. Spoke with LG customer service and was told for $449.00 a certified technician could come to my home and assess the machine. IF it was repairable parts and labor would all be taken care of if not I still have to pay $449 for service call. The machine was just over 2 years old and used in a two person home. Very disappointed in performance and warranty details.

I wouldnt know if its good or not it broke on the 4th load. Its the highest rated as far as washers go however the LG customer service is what takes this down from a potential 5 star. Yes I may have gotten a lemon its most likely a great washer but it didnt work long enough for me to know. Going on a month of back and forth with Lg two technician appointments where they just dont show up.. the tech might be good but the company blows.

Sensor Failure within 4 months of Owning

Bought this machine in April and already has a sensor failure. LG says its going to be at least two weeks to fix IF the problem is even covered under warranty...who knows.

STILL NOT CLEAN

I exchanged our LG impeller model for this agitator version because it wasnt getting clothes clean. This one STILL DOESNT CLEAN There is always visible dirt left in our socks and visible/smellable deodorant left in undershirts. Ive done all the troubleshooting steps there is nothing broken or dirty or clogged and I use the proper amount of detergent. Ive watched the cycle through the clear lid and found that even with the agitator and using different cycles yes heavy duty too the clothes get moved around in one lump. This is bad bad bad engineering. Its either that the size of the agitator paddles are too small for the size of the drum or the agitation pattern isnt correct to properly move the clothes around each other. Im so upset with these LG washers

Now that Ive had my washer a few weeks I like it. The clothes seem cleaner and smell fresher. I had to get used to how the new settings are but its good. The clothes take longer to wash but again cleaner
