This refrigerator is extremely disappointing. Where should I begin for starters everything seems very cheaply made the drawers are very loose in the tracts the ice maker is extremely noisy the water/ice dispenser is very poorly designed I used to be able to fill water bottles easily with my old unit but thats very challenging on this one the ice seems to always have a piece miss my cup somehow maybe the opening is too big the right door has a plastic fitting that keeps to door from closing when you give it a push that will typically close a normal fridge door and I thought I read that fingerprints didnt show on this unit but that could not be further from the truth. Overall very disappointed in this unit.

I would be more impressed with the unit if it worked properly. The ice water in the door is nonfunctional and there is an error code. Apparently LG uses an independent/3rd party contractor for repair or service calls. Ive had difficulty getting through to them placed numerous calls before Im able to actually speak with someone rather than listen to the HOLD music. I have been told they are still waiting on parts to arrive before they schedule a technician. However no one has been here to diagnose the issue. Needless to say we arent very impressed at this point.

Several days after we bought this refrigerator we noticed that the inside was warming up. We monitored the temperature and it kept fluctuation between 43 and 53 degrees despite a setpoint of 33 degrees. Called LG support and after a lengthy interview they ordered a technician which took 5 days waiting. A couple of days after this call the temperature suddenly came down to setpoit and stayed there for several days while the technician was here. He checked everything and could not find any issues. Two days after he left temperature started going up again to about 54 degrees where it has been for days now. Had to move all sensitive content to our old refrigerator that at least can keep the temperature. Will be calling LG support again. We had several LG appliances over the years with very good success and this is the first time we are experiencing such problems.

Only 2 stars because the indoor icemaker freezes up once a week and I have to remove the door panel and dump the frozen ice. Not a good design for a brand new refrigerator Called tech support and they had me troubleshoot for 40 minutes before a technician would come out. Only to hear that this is a common problem. Also the lights on the front water and ice maker dont work. Again this is a brand new product from July of 2023. Aside from that it is a good nice looking product

Problems within the first 3 weeks

Some issues 3 weeks from purchase. We love the interior space. It is substantially larger on the inside than any other counter depth refrigerator we have seen. We were very happy with our purchase until the freezer defrosted itself randomly on at least 2 separate occasions. The door was NOT left open as it has an alarm to let you know if its been left open. The freezer then goes back to functioning normally. Now we have frost and ice build up inside the freezer from the thaw and re-freeze. Not sure what is going on but we are going to call for service soon. Very disappointing. We had heard such good things about LG.

WE bought this from Home Depot in June with a remodel going on. Thought we were getting the model with the craft ice as that model was the one with the placards illustrating that. This model was delivered to our house in July to sit for a week or two until kitchen was ready. Fridge got a nice ding in the freezer door by the delivery team. Home Depot wouldnt do anything and LG was even worse and told me I could buy a new door for hundreds of $$. But they gave me a code to get 10 off my next water filter for this fridge. We have the entire LG appliances from washer/dryer fridge over microwave dishwasher...so quite upset that wasnt the model that we thought we were purchasing and then the model we get has a ding in the door.

Struggling with indoor icemaker

I was so excited to have the fridge in my home after renovating my kitchen I love the new fridge and everything is working wonderful except for my indoor ice maker. I have been struggling to get the thing to work and make ice. We went through several steps to reset it and unplugged it entirely and still no ice. They sent me a new ice maker that was the wrong type for my fridge. Customer service has been great but I just want to get my fridge fully working. They are sending a the whole ice maker now and I am hoping its the right one and that it works.

Replaced my 9 year old LG French Door unit with this newer version following a compressor failure. Wouldve been great if the old one had lasted longer but thats the world we live in today. I was super excited with the new until DAY 4 when it stopped cooling. Did all the basic troubleshooting as I didnt want to loose another full load of groceries. Two days outside of retailer return window so Im stuck with LG repair but they are 5 days out. Ive had it for 4 itll be nearly a week before they can get out and take a look. Pretty bummed out.

Lots of usable well-designed space

We were doing a complete upgrade of all our appliances cooktop wall ovens and fridge and wanted a counter-depth French door model with in-door ice and water very few other requirements. Reviews led us to LGs products and we impressed at the fit finish and value so we went with a suite of the items we needed. Since installation we have been exceedingly pleased with our choices. The fridge has an amazing amount of usable space and a very impressive in-door ice maker/dispenser although the latter could stand to have a bit more ice storage. That is overcome by turning on the ice bin maker when there is a need for higher quantity. The dual freezer compartments are also very spacious despite being housed in a single spacious lower drawer. The stainless is also very fingerprint-proof despite our grandkids best attempts to smudge it. Although it is odd to get a text from your fridge when the door is left open too long a feature you can turn off the built-in wi-fi sets up up quickly with a very overly? feature-rich app. Quiet spacious well-designed and nicely streamlined this appears to be a great refrigerator.

Great refrigerator overall. Only possible disadvantage is there is only one place to store taller items in the milk bin in the right door. It would be nice if one of the upper shelves was partially collapsible/slidable to make it a half shelf for more room for taller items i.e. wine bottles. Love the double ice ice makers and very generous crisper and meat / cheese drawers

. Bought its predecessor model in 2015 and really liked it. However it developed a refrigerant leak and was too expensive to repair. Bought this 2023 model because of identical features: Lots of usable space. Lots of ice. Lots of kitchen space NOT wasted. Only difficulty was was leveling it so the doors closed easily.

Lots of well-thought-out space

We bought our new refrigerator to replace a 25-year-old side-by-side that still worked but was starting to make me a little nervous. The old fridge claimed to have more cubic feet of space but the space in this LG is so well planned that we can organize and find things much easier. Im very impressed with the bins on the doors no space is wasted. I read expert reviews of refrigerators that said not to store dairy in any door bins but we have not had any problems storing milk cream and butter in the door in the 2 months that we had it. One of the narrow door bins on the upper ice maker is perfect for our salad dressing collection. The produce drawers keep fruits and vegetables fresh and the wide bottom drawer is great for storing cheeses and processed meats. Everything is easy to find. The counter-depth feature is perfect for our narrow and oddly shaped kitchen. Though it isnt really the same depth as the counter it extends out much less than other models that we had been considering and less than our old refrigerator. Yet it feels more roomy inside. And it looks great in the kitchen. Since I was used to a side-by-side that had several narrow shelves in the freezer I wasnt sure I would like the bottom drawer style of freezer but with the two internal drawers--one shallower and one deep--I find that I can still organize the food so that I can find it easily. The refrigerator is very quiet--the only sound we hear is the ice maker occasionally. All in all we are very happy with the refrigerator.

Good fridge for the most part

Weve had the fridge for about a month. Generally speaking we are happy with the upgrade. It keeps the food cold and looks nice. However a couple of small issues. The left and the right doors are not aligned. One is higher than the other by about half an inch. The installers told us its a common problem. We tried several creative ways to fix it but nothing worked. Now we are just living with it. Another small issue is that the in-door water dispenser doesnt have a drip tray anymore causing spills on to the fridge door and floor. And the last issue was the terrible smell and taste of the water and ice. It took us multiple days of washing and soaking all of the ice trays and ice making components to finally be able to use the water and ice from the fridge.

2nd time around

I previously bought an LG Frig. that only lasted 5 years but I like some of the features so I bought another. They did get more space in the frig but they lost space on the doors. No Butter compartment and the shelves on the left side are so narrow you cant get anything in them. Lucky for me I kept all of the door shelves from the old one and was able to swap them out. Why they put those tiny narrow shelves is beyond me why change something that works. I do like the 2nd ice maker in the freezer and there is more space there also. Hopefully this one will last longer than 5 yrs.LG French

Nice Fridge but probably not the best choice for

We bought the fridge about a 45 days ago. Are previous fridge went out and we needed a new one as sone as possible. This one was a newer model of the last fridge we had but was a counter depth. We lost about 2 cubic feet which doesnt sound like a lot but makes a big difference. There where improvements over the last one though. The filter for the ice maker was moved to a more convenient location in the door and the depth of the shelves in the door are larger. But a couple of the changes where not so good. The shelves in the old fridge could be positioned in unlimited ways to adjust the height of each shelves. the new model only offers 3 positions which dont fit out needs well for common items we buy. Also while probably a improvement a new filter for air flow has been added that needs replacement every 6 months adding to the expense of the filter changes for the indoor water and ice. There is a secondary ice maker in the freezer that we have turned off. We dont have many parties that would need extra ice but do need the room in the freezer for other daily items. Over all its a nice fridge but given more time to look we probably would have made a different choice.

Multiple problems with this model

We regret buying this model as it seems to be new. Repair has visited six times over 55 days. Nothing works to cool the refrigerator but the freezer is fine. LG call center personnel are wonderful repair man also but nothing works to correct the problem. We want to swap this model for another. Will visit HomeDepot this week to find out what is possible.

The LG LRFXC2606S HAS THE RIGHT FEATURES

I chose the LRFXC2606S because it has the right features I needed and not too many to increase the cost of the refrigerator. The double ice maker is a great feature to have most indoor ice makers produce too small amount to entertain guest.

I Bought this Refrigerator and received it on July 2. The delivery crew was good. But the Ice Maker in the Door did not work. I was told I would have to wait a full month for someone to service the Ice Maker. Poor Service I say. The Instructions are very poorly written about how to turn the Ice Maker on. My Wife Figured it out the switch inside the Door Has to be Held for a period of time for the Ice Maker to turn on. I realize that you are Bunch of Einstein Geniuses. But I am not. Put the On/Off Switch Ice Switch for the Door Ice Maker. Back on the Ice Maker. Keep It Simple

Icemaker D.O.A. poor support

Pro: Brightly lit good layout reasonably quiet. A refrigerator that could have been above average except for the Con: The SlimSpace+ in-the-door icemaker has never worked in the month Ive owned it - and the water/ice dispenser in the door was the deciding factor for purchasing this model. I waited the 48 hours the Owners Manual says it will take ice to form but no ice. At that point I could no longer return the fridge so I called LG Customer Service. Ive explained the problem in several calls texts and chats and sent photos of the part that I need only to TWICE get sent the wrong replacement part. Im currently waiting for my in-person service call to be scheduled even though I could do this myself if theyd send the correct part - but the local service business told me that LG frequently doesnt pay their warranty bills. So Im pretty disappointed in my brand-new fridge.
