I love everything about my top load washer EXCEPT FOR THE LID LATCH!! THIS HAS CREATED SUCH HAVIC AND AGGERVATION !! I haven™€™t even used my washer 2 months when this feature broke, thiere should be an option switch on the washer so that when it breaks the washer will still function. This has left me 2 weeks without a washer. This just shouldn™€™t be. So frustrating!!! Please make a on or off switch for this feature, so your washer can still work when this feature breaks so often!

My new Whirlpool washer works great! I like the feature of the water spout for pre washing and rinsing my cap out. During the agitation cycle, its very quiet. It seems to wash my clothes. So far so good and washing clothes is easy. We chose to pick up our appliance and that went smoothly. The guys were great.

After a few laundry loads, quite impressed with the load capacity and level of agitation. Clothes come out very clean while using the same amount of detergent for a smaller capacity washer. Also like that closing the lid is dampened, so that the lid doesn't come crashing down. Appreciate the variety of load choices that are available. Overall has been a great washer so far.

Very happy with this machine and all its features. Once I was able to download the full manual and I had an explanation of the many cycles to choose from, it was simple to operate. The one downfall is how quickly the lid locks so if you find something even 2 minutes later, you cannot add, but I think all machines are that way now.

Wish I had read the reviews before I purchased. I love the faucet but this machine has stopped working after 2 weeks. I currently have a load in the washing machine that I cannot dry because it is too wet. Machine just keeps washing and no final spin. The drain/spin feature just washes as well. Not at all happy

My faithful 21 year old Whirlpool decided to "retire" earlier this month and I was happy to replace it with another Whirlpool. Will it last as long as the other one? Who knows, but if I'm still doing laundry at 100 years of age, I'll be sure to let everyone know. I have had problems with this machine from day 1. Pros: large capacity, see-through top lid, direct laundry detergent dispensing. BIG cons: I can only use bulky items setting for normal because the normal loads leave residue on the clothes and they come out partially dry. The machine leaves lint all over the clothes. I have to hold the play button down so long to start the wash cycle. The fabric softener dispenser gets dirty and smelly quick. Whirlpool doesn™€™t accept returns, NO MATTER WHAT! My clothes, especially shoes, don™€™t come out as clean as my old electrilux washer. To sum it up, stay away from this brand. Almost 1 year in.

Great Washer With Great Features

What a GREAT washer,(and I have had a lot of "washer experience" in my time).Really easy to use and doesn't require an engineering degree to operate. The glass lid is very sturdy and I love the hydrolic type opening/closing feature to protect from closing too fast. I have used most of the wash cycles just to see how they work and am very pleased especially with the "bulky load" setting for bedding and towels. The "faucet feature" removes a need for a separate wash tub for rinsing clothes prior to washing,if needed and is a great feature,particularly with young boys and daily messes. Since we have a laundry closet off the living room,not a separate laundry room,we need a quiet washer and this one meets that requirement.Handles large loads well and gets clothes clean.So far,so great!

I purchased this washer about a year ago and I HATE IT! SERIOUSLY, 2 HOURS TO WASH 1 LOAD??? THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. I can't wait for it to die so I can go back to Maytag. Other issues I have include not being able to stop it to add more stuff because it starts over at the beginning of the cycle. What a waste of water and detergent!!! Also, can't stop it to rearrange stuff when it gets off balance without the cycle starting all over again. Kind of defeats the purpose! I thought the built-in faucet would be a great asset but having the on/off switch located behind the open lid is quite stupid. Putting the on/off switch inside next to the facuet would have been way smatter...but, there is nothing intelligent about this machine. This washer is the worst! Please DIE soon!

This is the best washer I have ever owned. I bought it as a scratch and dent with no research done prior. When I read the reviews I almost returned it. Thankfully I didnt because its the best washer I have ever owned. My clothes have never been cleaner and with such minimal water. I have a large family and do a ton of laundry. My water bill is less and my clothes are super clean and soft. Im not sure why people say its loud. It not loud. It does make regular washer noise. Thats it. The fabric softener dispenser works so great. I couldnt love this machine anymore then I do, dont believe the other reviews, you will not regret purchasing this washer.

Expected better for sensing washer

Bought this sensing water level washer to try newer style I am disappointed with washer it does not cover most loads with water level and try to add water manually the washer goes into drain and when completing wash cycle it does not completely agitation the load properly. It does save water the way it is designed but I am not happy with the overall process of wash cycles especially with large comforter or blanket and towels.

All I can find online are an owners manual or inks, both are how to hook it up.Nothing about what do all these knobs mean, what happens if I push this and what happens if I push that. Not all wash cycles will drain & spin!

I bought my washer a week ago. I™€™m very happy with the normal cycle of wash. However, some of the other cycles, like bulky items or whites cycle will not spin. I opened the lid and found the clothes soaking wet! The only way I could drain and spin was to go to the drain & spin cycle. That worked fine. This makes no sense. Am I doing something wrong.

Whirlpool has gone downhill don't expect much

Whirlpool does not stand behind their products! Purchased a washer June 7th 2022. For contacts it's only my husband and I using it so we don't use it often. In the middle of washing it stopped. All lights blinking. Great. Lid still locked. Called out a Whirlpool service expert for $149 visit. Only to diagnose the repair $689 for a new motherboard and harness wire (so basically the cost we paid just to pay it again to have something repaired, 0k yeah right). Something he says often he sees with whirlpool. Says give Whirlpool call me maybe they'll give you some concessions and at least cover the parts or labor since they have done that in the past for this harness wire KNOWN issue. Call Whirlpool and am on hold for 40 minutes - nothing they can do for me except offer me a loyalty discount coupon of 15%. Coupon never came through email. Lol. Honestly wasn't going to use it anyway because they don't stand behind their products. Whirlpool products- are junk- per the repair co. they have known defects and we were basically told to pound sand since it was out of warranty even though we were loyal customers who for 20 years prior had relied on Whirlpool. Sitting here listening to my lovely new GE top load washer installed this morning- it runs much quieter, spun cycle is not crazy like the w.p. was, and is not finicky with crazy fast lid locks or electronics like the whirlpool was.

I™€™m very happy with the simplicity of the features. One thing that is surprising and annoying is how loud it is when operating..I had to downsize from a larger drum capacity so I could actually reach to the bottom of it to take the clothes out. So for the size I now have, I™€™m so pleased with this washer. I also like the easy use of the panel. If you™€™re looking for a great machine that functions well and is very efficient, and don™€™t mind the noise of it, I would recommend it.

Do not buy this washing machine OR any Whirlpool washine machine. The biggest problem is that it barely adds any water. I only ran a half load of light items (t-shirts, socks, underwear) - I selected HEAVY DUTY and "Deep Water" option. More than half of the clothes on the top barely got wet. The agitator did not cycle them to the bottom. When I pulled the shirts out, they were still dirty and had clumps of dtergent on them. This is because they were never submerged in water. I called Whirlpool customer service to inquire and was told by an agent that none of their machines fill the tub with enough water and I should consider only running 1/3 of a load. This is not realistic. Buy another brand if you want your clothes to be cleaned. Other (smaller) problems are that there is no where to add detergent and no timer to see how much time is left. I bought this at Costco. I will be calling them to come back and get it and re-order another machine that is a different brand.

I had to get used to not using a full drum full of water. My old washer was 12 years old, so the technology has changed tremendously since then. I had a hard time believing this washer could clean my clothes with very little water. Guess what! It did. My clothes come out very clean and smelling fresh. Once I figured out how to use this washer and let it do its own thing I realized I had made a good purchase.

Too many changes not so good!

It was a long delay before receiving it- over 2 months. Replaced whirlpool washer of 18 years with whirlpool washer. Delicate cycle spins so hard it pulls almost permanent wrinkles in the items that I washed, which needed to be washed delicately. If it is to be gentle, then why not make the spin more gentle with a shorter spin time. Maybe add a button to pick spin time and how hard the spin is. Delicate means delicate! Also on the rinse cycles I only see the washer spraying water on the clothing while it spins, except for the towel cycle. What i don't see is the clothing being rinsed in a tub of water. I don't feel that it is rinsing the detergent out of the clothes when the washer sprays while spinning. Navy trousers came out with marks that looked like the detergent had not rinsed out. Too many different cycles. too much time on the cycles! Also no information came with the machine regarding the different cycles.

We are very happy with our new washer. It handles large loads and has a good variety of wash options. No complaints but I do wish the cycles showed how much time remains until the cycle is completed.
