Love my double oven!

I love this range! I had the electric version in stainless steel at our previous home and I love that I can use the small oven to heat up chicken nuggets or corndogs for the kids. I would say I liked the electric range better, just because I miss the warming feature. The griddle on the gas range is nice to have though. On the electric version, the interior is a blue/purple color, it's black inside the gas ovens. I also miss the rapid boil that the electric version has. Make sure you read the owner's manuals. I've learned that each burner has a different power so make sure you use the burners correctly (or else you'll burn something quickly or it will take forever for you to cook something). I do wish KA would catch up to some other brands and offer wi-fi capability. I almost purchased the LG version to be able to preheat my oven on my way home from work.

Truly struggling

This is my first gas range. I'm absolutely baffled and annoyed. The oven is awful. The top oven barely cooks anything but yet burns taco shells . It also heats extremely unevenly. Like one side of the oven burns and the other does nothing. The lower oven is a nightmare. It takes forever to bake anything and when you finally get fed up and have to take stuff out and re-preheat the oven it shows 50+ degrees less than what it should be. For example muffins this morning were barely baking. I had to reheat the oven that was set to 350 and it's only at 300. The service guy has been out and confirmed it heats unevenly and doesn't hold temp. He replaced the heat probe thingy and it still doesn't hold temp. Also the timer beep is so quiet you can't hear it from another room. I hate it

WOW! This is the BEST!

I just had this range installed last week, and I have used it every day to: proof and bake bread, bake cookies and slow cook ribs in the top oven, roast a large turkey in the lower oven, reheat leftovers, cook noodles or rice on the large burner, melt wax or butter on the low heat burner, fry eggs on the regular burner, and fry bacon or make pancakes on the griddle, At one point, I had all the burners and both ovens on in preparation of a big meal for 21 people. IT WAS AMAZING!!! I was able to serve all the food hot.

This is not a reliable product. Issues with burner igniter not consistently working. The igniter on the upper oven has now gone twice within 18 months at a repair cost of $250 per occurrence. Kitchenaide will not assist in the second repair. Stay away from this unit.

Great Double Oven

The oven is very good looking. It made my kitchen look up to date. I like the smaller oven on the top of the stove as I make so many casseroles and bake almost all my meats. I've also used the upper oven to bake cookies. They came out just right. Since I entertain regularly I really like the two oven availability. Poor quality

I bought this over over a year ago and the handles have discolored. I contacted kitchen aid and they were unwilling to even give me a discount on new handles. The company wants ME to pay $102 for each handle. They did offer me a discount on an entire range. I just wanted new handles and I was will to pay half the cost.

I have eagerly awaited the arrival of this range for about 6 months. Was so looking forward to having five burners to cook on. Now I have only two burners that will actually cook anything. I left about two cups of water in a small pan on the back burner for 20 minutes on high and it would not boil. However it does heat up the house so that the air conditioner stays on because it is a minimum of 2 degrees hotter in the house when cooking one pan to boil water and the other to cook eggs. I hate to see what the temp would be if cooking and actual meal. The way the stove is made the heat is spread out into the house instead of being directed on to the bottom of the pans.. It also heats up the handles on my pans that have never gotten hot before and has burnt a couple of them. The black finish on the stove top is not easy to clean and some spots I can not get cleaned. I had to have the installers come back out to raise the stove up because it burnt my counter top. Now the oven is as high as it will go and the side of the stove top gets so hot when cooking you can not touch the edge of it or you will get burnt. This is against my wooden cabinets and counter tops. I am afraid that it is going to burn my house down. The sides of the oven when using it do the same thing. Also the grates on the top are not each to remove to clean, if your not careful you could scratch the finish on the top, not to mention they are very ruff on the bottoms of the pans. This range will be going back , however I have now be told that there is probably going to be a restocking fee. The repair guy came today and the range is working as it should. This oven should not be used in any household unless you don't mind the risk of burning your house down. They have also ordered two new Bake Burner Covers for both ovens, because the finish is chipping off on the edges. I have lived in this house for 29 years and this is my third range and I have never had these issues before.
